Based on the CSDI report released on its website, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company topped the list as the biggest company active in TSE with a total market cap of 539.85 trillion rials ($4.71 billion).
Giant steelmaker Mobarakeh Steel Company was next on the list with a market cap of 509.34 trillion rials ($4.44 billion).
National Iranian Copper Industries Company ranked third with an overall market cap of 326.27 trillion rials ($2.85 billion), according to Financial Tribune.
This was followed by Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company, Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company, Telecommunication Company of Iran, Pars Petrochemical Company, Esfahan Oil Refining Company, Parsian Oil and Gas Development Company and MAPNA Group.
Market cap is the market value of a publicly traded company's outstanding shares. It is calculated by multiplying the number of shares outstanding by the current market price of one share.
As for the top ten listed companies in the IFB, Marun Petrochemical Complex was first among all listed companies in the junior market with a market cap of 310.24 trillion rials ($2.71 billion).
Goharzamin Iron Ore Company was next with a market cap of 202.06 trillion rials ($1.76 billion) up until August 22.
Damavand Power Generation Company ranked third with a market cap of 151.52 trillion rials ($1.32 billion).
It was followed by Zagros Petrochemical Company, Middle East Mines & Mineral Industries Development Holding Company, Esfahan Steel Company and Hormozgan Steel Company, Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company and Shiraz Oil Refining Company.
